El agua tiene memoria
En Colombia, país ubicado en Suramérica, crece un sentimiento en defensa de los páramos y del agua
como la más alta manifestación de la naturaleza para la vida.
Preocupados por el avance de la mega minería, que en todo el territorio es sinónimo de
arrasamiento, expulsión, rompimiento del tejido social, deterioro de la seguridad
y soberanía alimentaria y lo más alarmante, la amenaza de la vida misma, por la destrucción de
los páramos, principales ecosistemas productores de agua.
Múltiples expresiones en defensa del agua se han dado: desde lo jurídico, lo técnico, lo social,
lo artístico y creemos que no son suficientes por la importancia que tiene el agua en
la preservación del planeta; consideramos necesario visibilizar permanentemente nuestra oposición a
los proyectos mineros en zonas de paramo, con una decidida acción social organizada que involucre
creatividad y asertividad para generar consciencia, mover voluntades y rescatar los verdaderos valores
de la madre tierra.
Por lo anterior, desde el arte de la caricatura, queremos sumar esfuerzos, sumar voces en defensa de
nuestro territorio, nuestros ríos, nuestras quebradas, lagunas y paramos, que lentamente organizan
por el accionar brutal de la mega minería.
INVITACIÓN:
A participar en el FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CARICATURA: EL AGUA TIENE MEMORIA, que se llevará
a cabo entre el 23 y el 26 de agosto del año 2018 en la ciudad de Bucaramanga, departamento de
Santander, Colombia. Sur América.
TERMINOS PARA PARTICIPAR
1) La participación está abierta a todos los caricaturistas del mundo.
2) El tema es: EL AGUA TIENE MEMORIA.
3) Cada participante puede presentar máximo tres (3) obras.
4) La técnica es libre.
5) Las obras deben presentarse en formato A4 jpg (21X29,7) (300 dpi).
6) Pueden participar con obras que hayan sido premiadas o publicadas.
7) Cada obra debe venir acompañada con los siguientes datos:
Nombres y apellidos del autor, correo electrónico y país de origen.
8) Al enviar la obra significa que acepta la participación y autoriza al comité organizador del evento,
para la publicación de su trabajo en medios impresos y/o electrónicos.
9) El comité organizador se reserva el derecho de no exhibir obras que atenten contra los derechos
individuales o colectivos.
10) El evento tiene un profundo sentido de solidaridad en defensa de los páramos y del agua y se
realiza sin ánimo de lucro.
11) Todos los caricaturistas recibirán un certificado de participación.
12) Las tres (3) obras escogidas por el jurado, recibirán el Pergamino de Honor y el reconocimiento a la
excelencia.
13) Las obras deben enviarse al correo electrónico:
El plazo máximo para la recepción de obras es el día 31 de Julio de 2018.

The water has memory
In Colombia, South American country, has grown up the intention to protect the paramos (a unique
ecosystem in the region), and the water as the most higher manifestation of nature and the life.
One of the main worries is the advance of the mega-mining over the territory as synonym of
obliteration, expulsion, rupture of social structures, insecure and difficulty for food safety. The most
alarming is the threat against the life itself, in consequence of the destruction of the paramos, principal
ecosystem that produces water.
Multiples expressions for the advocacy of the water have been done in different dimensions like the
legal, social, technic, artistic, etc. But we believe that ones are not enough for the importance that has
the water and the preservation of the environment. We consider it is necessary to make visible
constantly, our position against the mining projects in paramos zones, with a socially organized activity
that involves creativity and assertiveness, to create awareness about the true values of the Mother
Earth.
Therefore, from the caricature art, we want to join efforts and voices. In the advocacy of our territory,
rivers, lakes, and paramos that are slowly being destroying with mega-mining activities.
Invitation
To participate in the INTERNATIONAL CARICATURE FESTIVAL: THE WATER HAS MEMORY, that will take
place between 23 and 26 of August in Bucaramanga city, ubicated in the department of Santander,
Colombia.
Terms and conditions to participate
1) The call is for all the caricaturists all over the world.
2) The issue is: The water has memory.
3) Each participant can send maximum three (3) works.
4) The technique is free
5) The format to present the work is: A4 jpg (21X29,7) (300 dpi)
6) You can participate with works that have been awarded or published.
7) Each work must be accompanied by the following information:
• Name and last name.
• Original Country
8) By submitting the work means that you accept the participation and authorize the organizing
committee of the event, for the publication of your work in print and/or electronic media.
9) The organizing committee reserves the right not to exhibit works that attempt against an
individual or collective rights.
10) The event has a deep sense of solidarity in defense of the páramos and water and is carried out
nonprofit.
11) All caricaturists will receive a certificate of participation.
12) The three (3) best works will be chosen and their authors will receive a diploma of excellence.
